Veriz

A large city, with streets filled with the vibrant Filit'Edhel. These elves with their massive wingspans chose to live near the coastline, rather than in the dense forests at the center of the continent. The land itself seems to be built amidst the tops of the tree's closely where they make their homes, and out of the large stone mountains where they rest their giant birds. The birds are creatures as wind as the elves but with a more bestial mindset, though they are worshiped and adored by the elves for their services. They had once been a specialized prey for the Dragon's of the island, but where revered sacred by the Filit'Edhel that traveled with the first settlers and became companions. The bond of a Rider to his Bird is unbreakable, and something that is born of its hatching to the bird's last breath. Veriz is a center of knowledge boasting a huge library and some of the best scholars on Ohala. Ships can be seen from the rocky shores, as well as the sea life that inhabits the waters close to the shore.
